Jennifer J. Kennedy, born Langhorn, Pennsylvania; admitted to bar 2001, Florida; United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, 2004; United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, 2004.
Education: University of Rhode Island, (B.A. Cum Laude, 1998); Stetson University College of Law, Gulfport, Florida, (J.D., Cum Laude, 2001).
Member: St. Petersburg Bar Association; Florida Bar Appellate Practice and Advocacy Section.
While at Stetson, Ms. Kennedy was actively involved in the Stetson Moot Court Board, competing in six competitions and serving as Chief Justice from 2000-2001. While competing on the Moot Court Board, Ms. Kennedy was a Regional Finalist in the National Moot Court Competition, Champion of E. Earle Zehmer Moot Court Competition and Champion of the Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Competition. She was also a Teaching Fellow for Research and Writing, and the recipient of the E. Harris Drew Memorial Award for excellence in written and oral advocacy in 2001. Ms. Kennedy coaches a moot court team for the Stetson University College of Law that annually participates in the E. Earle Zehmer Moot Court Competition held at the Annual Workers' Compensation Educational Conference.
Ms. Kennedy joined our firm on June 2, 2003. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kennedy was a law clerk to the Honorable Virginia Covington on Florida's Second District Court of Appeal.
Ms. Kennedy practices in the areas of Appellate Law and Insurance Coverage.
